About ReadyMade

ReadyMade is named after the term that Marcel Duchamp coined in 1915 for a series of sculptures that playfully rethought the relationship between people and mass-produced objects, everyday items and art. ReadyMade is about people who make things and the culture of making. It’s a magazine for the innovator inside each one of us.

.

Trust me: There is such a wealth of information on this webpage! I go there and could get lost for hours. It’s a magaizine, shares projects, has smart and witty articles, there’s multimedia everywhere, there’s a blog, yummy recipies and the list goes on. In fact I gotta jet… to get back to the ReadyMade website :)

heart,

@MrsCheesemäker

Alabama Chanin | About

Alabama Chanin | About:
Love, love, love Alabama Chanin - mission, DIY kits, Stencils, store products, and sustainable life thoughts.

Instructions for sizes: Child’s medium, women’s small, women’s medium, women’s large/men’s small, men’s medium, men’s large.

In addition: This is what LORI WROTE:

I used 3 balls (50 g/50m) of the Lana Grossa Feltro purchased at Strickeria. This made a slipper for a size 35/36. You can use any bulky weight wool, but it must be 100% wool to felt. Manmade or plant fibers, i.e. acrylic and cotton yarns, will not felt.

Other materials needed: Size U.S. #11 needles (8mm) Yarn needle for sewing the slipper together

I traced my foot on a piece of paper and measured to get the length. You will need to know how long your foot is to make the slipper the correct size.

Quit Your Day Job: SpinSpanSpun

Quit Your Day Job: SpinSpanSpun:
Read about how this unhappy teacher spun her life around after quitting her day job and relocating to France with her daughter and husband. No, this is an international event, and all sessions will be held in English and relevant to small businesses around the world.

What will it cost to attend?
We aim to keep ticket prices very affordable. (We will announce exact pricing before tickets are made available). Unlike most conferences, this is not a money making undertaking or an event for marketing people to drum up new business for their corporate employers. Hello Etsy is a gathering for individuals, most of whom are working out of their homes. Furthermore, some full scholarships will be awarded and discounts will be provided for groups.

Are things only happening in Germany?
We know many of you will not be able to make it to Berlin. Therefore, in the lead-up to the conference we will be hosting small-business oriented events in cities around the world. Most keynote sessions will also be broadcast via the web, and downloadable workshop guides will be available.

Where is it being held exactly?
Hello Etsy will take place at ewerk, Germany’s oldest preserved commercial power plant. Built in 1885, the ewerk has witnessed Berlin’s constantly evolving history, surviving two world wars, communist rule, and the rise of capitalism. It’s located in the heart of Berlin and is easily accessible by public transportation.

Sounds amazing! Where do I buy my ticket?
Tickets are not yet available, but will be going on sale in the months ahead. To be alerted when they are available, or to keep abreast of summit news and announcements, please visit helloetsy.com where you can join the Hello Etsy mailing list. Also, make sure to "like" us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter.

Berlin

If you’re looking for a great yarn store in Regensburg, please check out Strickeria! So cute…

They are small and they offer workshops too. If you’ve seen almost everything that Wolle Rödel has to offer then this place is a must. The owner is so nice and its not a chain - which I like to support. Decide yourself, and I’ll bring more info about the beginner/intermediate knitting and crocheting workshops in February and March too. Deal?

Deal!

yours always,

Same time: 19:00 - whenever

Same place: Vitus Restaurant

In 2011, I have some new and exciting plans for us. They include themed meet-ups, more projects, and some special guests. For this upcoming Thursday, I have asked Lori, if she wouldn’t mind guiding us through a simple knitting project. We decided on booties/house shoes. This is a very elementary project so don’t feel intimidated. If interested, check back in a couple of days to see the list of supplies, and if not then bring your own project!

Keep in mind that Valentine’s Day is approaching, so remember those loved ones, or treat yourself.

Hugs,

P.S. If you’re curious as to how the booties might look then here’s a sneak peak! And this it is made with felted yarn…
